Uploading Presentations
In this topic:Tips for uploading presentations during a web conference.
Knowing how and when to properly upload your presentation increases the effectiveness of your web conference. To ensure your event starts promptly, allow at least two hours for uploading your presentation so you can have adequate time to address any issues with your connection or presentation. Be aware that upload times vary based on the following factors:
- Size of your Presentation. The larger your presentation is, the longer it will take to upload. Listed below are recommended and maximum file sizes for presentations.
- Adobe Connect- maximum size is 100MB
- Cisco WebEx- recommended file size 5MB, maximum size is 100MB
- GlobalMeet- maximum size is 100MB
- IBM LotusLive Meetings- recommended size is 10MB, over 100MB is not advised
- Microsoft Office Live Meeting- single handout cannot exceed 25MB, no more than 100MB total in files can be uploaded to the handouts, content cannot exceed 150MB
- Connection Speed. If you are not on a high speed connection, you can expect longer upload times.
- Connection Quality. You may be on a high speed connection, but on a network that is experiencing delays or bottlenecking.
- Complexity of your Presentation. The more complex your presentation is (graphically intense, ancillary files to upload, special fonts, etc.) the longer your upload will be.
- Size of the Upload Queue. If there are many presentations queued to upload before you, your upload time may be increased.
