Minimum System Requirements for WebEx In this topic:Learn the minimum system requirements for hosting or attending a Cisco WebEx meeting.

To host or attend a Cisco WebExTM meeting using Microsoft® Windows and Meeting Center 8.5, your system must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Windows: 2000, XP SP3, 2003 Server, Vista 32-bit/64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit, 2008 Server 64-bit
    • Browsers (Recommended shown in bold)
      • Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 (32-bit/64-bit)
      • Firefox 3.x, 4.0b
      • Chrome 5, 6, 7
      • JavaScript, ActiveX and cookies enabled in the browser
    • 56K or faster Internet connection
    • Intel or AMD processor
    • 256 MB RAM (512 MB for Vista)
       
  • Macintosh: OS X  10.5, 10.6
    • Browsers (Recommended shown in bold)
      • Firefox 3.x, 4.0b
      • Safari 4, 5
      • JavaScript and cookies enabled in the browser
    • Intel Processor
    • 256 MB RAM
    • 56K or faster Internet connection
    • Apple Java 5 or above
       
  • Linux: Ubuntu 8.04, 10.04 LTS, Red Hat 5, Open SuSE 11.2, 11.3 Fedora 11, 12, 13 (all 32-bit)
