Conferencing: ReadyConference Plus
Mute Noisy Lines Using Web Audio Controls In this topic:Use Web Audio Controls to mute noisy lines.

You can use the mute command to silence noisy lines. This is recommended when conferencing with large numbers of individual participant lines.

In Web Audio Controls, click Mute All to mute all participant (non-speaker) lines. Click Un-Mute All to un-mute all participants. You can also mute individual participants by clicking the Mute button next to caller names or numbers in the Main Conference section of Web Audio Controls.

Note that Mute All only functions when callers have joined the ReadyConference call. Until at least one caller joins, this command is unavailable.

While using Web Audio Controls, moderators and participants may still control aspects of the call using star controls. For instance, participants can press *6 on the telephone touch-pad to mute or un-mute their own lines. Moderators can press *96 to mute all participant lines.

For more information on using star controls to mute lines, see How To: Mute Noisy Lines Using Star Controls.

When using the muting or un-muting function, a recorded message informs all participants that mute has been activated.
